(Also, our YouTube channel is now live!)
disneybound Peter & Wendy had a wonderful adventure at SDCC 2014 day 4.
The Adventure Effect’s Wonderland adventure around SDCC 2014!
"Are you guys doing anything for Sept Dapper Day?"
YES! The entire Adventure Effect crew will be attending Fall Dapper Day 2014 in a brand new Disneybound!
We would like to remind everyone that Dapper Day is on September 12th, 2014. We will be posting tAE meet up information closer to the date, as well as a reminder for the official disneybound meet up! We look forward to seeing all of our old and new friends there!
Please feel free to submit any Dapper Day questions or dress advice requests to our ask. We’re happy to give you some guidance on what to wear and how to enjoy this wonderful event.
It was recently brought to our attention that we had a quest to complete in Adventureland. Not sure how we missed all the little yellow exclamation points hovering over the cast members in that land. We quickly purchased the latest copy of The Bird Call and rushed to the aid of The Adventure Trading Company!
We were recruited to find the following new recruits for The Tiki Room:
Small birds are in abundance around the resort! Spotted these interesting specimens near Wonderland.
Neil found a large bird right away. It was quite tame, and didn’t seem to mind us getting close to it.
Sara found a host who used to be a duck. The guide didn’t specify whether or not the bird would be acceptable if it had molted, so we figured this would be acceptable.
We submitted this one as our “multi-colored bird.” He was green with red plumage, and had a unique, crow-like call. No word on where the rare, blue Wendybird might be, though.
Our scout’s choice had only one feather, but his wingspan was so impressive we just had to share!
Yes, we do Disneybound fancy parties. Seen here at Bill Prady’s annual SDCC party (he’s in the first photo) with George RR Martin, Felicia Day, and our friend itslike0715 in her Margaery Tyrell cosplay, and co-creator of Lost, Carlton Cuse.
Also, if you have a REALLY sharp eye, you can see both creators of Phineas and Ferb directly behind my head in the last photo.
We took thatprincessgirl's River Song cosplay for a spin at SDCC. She had a ball, and we didn't hear The Doctor complaining, either…
thatprincessgirl & lostboycosplay caught up with Whosits & Whatsits founder minkusgavein while she was rocking her awesome Pizza Planet delivery girl getup. We think The Adventure Effect should do some work with this amazing lady!
theadventureeffect disneybounded SDCC preview night as a really simple Rapunzel, Flynn Rider, and Maximus. When a con attendee asked if Neil and Sara were Rapunzel and Flynn Rider, Matt angrily stomped his foot and flared her nostrils.
We ALMOST felt bad leaving her doubled over laughing as we got into the elevator. Almost.
The Adventure Effect’s Doctor & Jack have this thing they do with fans… Some of our fans are VERY interesting. We’re looking at you, John Barrowman!
Who wants a smooch from The Doctor and Jack??
Wonderful running into you all at SDCC
theadventureeffect: It was nice to meet you! Thank you so much for sharing your photo, we’re relying on fellow con attendees to link us images as we didn’t travel with a photographer this year!
theadventureeffect's SDCC tea party had some very unusual guests! The Doctor, a consulting detective, some younglings, and Inspector Spacetime were among those who took tea with us.
If you attended or spectated our tea party, PLEASE share your photos with us on our Facebook page! We would love to put together an album but did not have a photographer with us for this performance. Thank you to all of our new friends who wandered over and sat down for tea and cookies. We look forward to more performances of this sort in the future!
